Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Leitgedanke der Regensburg Tourismus GmbH (RTG) für das MICE-Segment „Tradition goes Future“, beschreibt es sehr gut: In diesem Beitrag geht es um Location Management im größeren Zusammenhang des Destinationsmanagements, es geht um Qualitätsmanagement und wie es die RTG geschafft hat, mit ihrem eigenen Weg ihre Nische zu finden und ganz oben im Deutschlandtourismus mitzuspielen. Es geht um Digitalisierung, Nachhaltigkeit und Barrierefreiheit und um eine Destination, die als UNESCO-Welterbestadt für Freizeittourismus einen Namen hat und zudem fünfzig Prozent ihrer Übernachtungen mit Geschäftsreisenden generiert und das ohne ein originäres Convention Bureau. Wie immer im Veranstaltungsbusiness geht es um Motivation, Mut und „einfach mal machen“. Und wie alle Beispiele in diesem Buch ist es ein Praxisbeispiel, welches sich definitiv lohnt, näher zu betrachten.
