Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Einsatz von Künstlicher Intelligenz fasziniert die Ermittlungsbehörden seit längerer Zeit. So wird in ihr zum einen die Möglichkeit gesehen, in ganz neue Dimensionen der Ermittlungsarbeit vordringen zu können und auf der anderen Seite ist mit ihr die Hoffnung verbunden, den enormen Massendaten im Rahmen der heutigen Verfahren überhaupt noch Herr zu werden. Eine derzeit viel diskutierte Einsatzmöglichkeit von Künstlicher Intelligenz besteht dabei in der Auswertung von großen Bilddatenmengen durch die Selektion der relevanten Beweismittel. Es stellen sich allerdings zahlreiche Schwierigkeiten im Zusammenhang mit dieser neuen Technologie, welche im Rahmen von zukünftiger interdisziplinärer Forschung bewältigt werden müssen. Vor diesem Hintergrund soll dieser Beitrag aktuelle Herausforderungen aufzeigen und ausgewählte Denkanstöße für die notwendige weitere Forschung geben.
