Abstract

Zusammenfassung Dieser Beitrag untersucht, wie die strategische Kommunikation Kommunikationsströme im Partizipativen Web kontrolliert – trotz der weit verbreiteten Vorstellung, dass eine solche Kontrolle in digitalen Informationsökologien nicht mehr möglich ist. Ansgar Zerfaß hat in seinen Arbeiten dieser Vorstellung schon früh widersprochen und ihr das Konzept der Social-Media-Governance entgegengesetzt. Allerdings richtet sich Social-Media-Governance als Kontrollinstrument vor allem auf Organisations-interne Akteure und weniger auf Organisations-externe. Aufbauend auf den Arbeiten von Ansgar Zerfaß nimmt dieser Beitrag Social-Media-Influencer*innen als Organisations-externe Akteure in den Blick und untersucht die Kontrolltechniken, die die Strategische Kommunikation auf sie anwendet. Dabei unterscheidet er vier verschiedene Kontrollmodi: einfache Kontrolle (z. B. Freigabeprozesse), technische Kontrolle (z. B. Nudging), bürokratische Kontrolle (z. B. Creative Briefings) und konzertierende Kontrolle (z. B. Controlling). Während einige dieser Techniken die Autonomie der Influencer*innen stark einschränken, wirken andere subtiler, indem sie Handlungsräume konstruieren, in denen sich die Influencer*innen bewegen.
