Abstract

Zusammenfassung Mit seiner Dissertationsschrift aus dem Jahre 1995 legte Ansgar Zerfaß erstmals ein umfassenderes Verständnis von Integration von und durch Kommunikation im Unternehmenskontext dar, welches einerseits auf bereits bestehenden Ansätzen fußte, diese aber auch zusammen- und entscheidend weitergedacht hat. Der vorliegende Aufsatz spürt seinem Integrationsbegriff nach und wagt die Beschreibung des Status Quo von Integration in Gesellschaft, Unternehmen und Kommunikationsberufsfeld. Auch wenn sich gesellschaftlich ein hohes Maß an Desintegration zeigt, darf dies nicht mit einer Abkehr von einem zu kurz gedachten Integrationsbegriff einhergehen. Deshalb ruft der Beitrag Kommunikationsverantwortliche auf, mehr Integration zu wagen.
