Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der folgende Beitrag bringt den Entscheidungsbegriff ins Spiel, um zu einer präziseren Vorstellung dessen zu gelangen, was unter „purposeful use of communication“ und einer Beteiligung in „conversations of strategic relevance“ (Zerfass et al., 2018, S. 493) verstanden werden kann. Dazu wird zunächst ein Konzept von Entscheidungen skizziert, das vorhandene theoretische Verbindungslinien nutzt und zugleich eine nochmals stärker kommunikationsbasierte Betrachtungsweise anregt. Im Anschluss daran erkundet der Beitrag beispielhaft für den Bereich der Nachhaltigkeitskommunikation, welche aktuellen Herausforderungen sich hier ergeben und welche Erkenntnismöglichkeiten mit einer entscheidungsorientierten Perspektive verbunden sein könnten.
