Abstract

Zusammenfassung Prof. Dr. Anna Nagl und Heinrich Aderneuer zeigen in diesem Kapitel, dass Digitalisierung und künstliche Intelligenz Vorteile für Kunden und Unternehmen der augenoptischen Branche gleichermaßen bieten. Beispiele hierfür sind u. a. die 3D-Refraktion, die Zentrierung der Brillengläser mit digitalen Messgeräten, digital gefertigte Glasoberflächen, die Einarbeitung der Brillengläser mit digital gesteuerten Randschleifmaschinen in die Brillenfassungen, Brillenfassungen aus dem 3D-Drucker sowie KI-unterstütztes Screening der Augen. Gerade bei der optometrischen Dienstleistung Screening kommt es allerdings sehr darauf an, dass die Qualität mit einer fundierten optometrischen Fachkompetenz untermauert ist. Darüber hinaus bieten Digitalisierung und KI die Möglichkeit einer zunehmend wichtiger werdenden personalisierten Kundenansprache und -pflege.
