Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die von der Corona Pandemie gebeutelte Tourismusbranche hat sich vollständig erholt und verzeichnet seitdem vielerorts wieder beeindruckende Wachstumszahlen die man auch vor 2019 gewohnt war. Die Reisebranche wird von vielen Megatrends wie Individualisierung, veränderten Kundenbedürfnissen, Nachhaltigkeit, Gesundheitsbewusstsein und steigender Haushalts-Einkommen geprägt. Das stärkste Wachstum bei der Nachfrage verzeichneten in den vergangenen Jahren Middle East und Europa. Gleichwohl steht die Branche auch vor großen Herausforderungen. Dazu gehören die durch die Inflation, hohe Zinsen und globale Verwerfungen verursachten Kostensteigerungen, Facharbeitermangel, Klimawandel und Massentourismus.
