Abstract

Zusammenfassung Start-ups in der Logistikbranche wurden in den vergangenen Jahren vielfältig seitens der Wissenschaft und Praxis diskutiert. Es finden sich in der Zwischenzeit verschiedene Untersuchungen zu den am Markt agierenden innovativen Unternehmen, deren Geschäftsmodellen und Unterscheidungsmerkmalen. Bei einer genaueren Betrachtung wird jedoch deutlich, dass sich ein Großteil dieser Unternehmen auf die Verkehrsträger Straße, Luft und See konzentrieren. Der Verkehrsträger Schiene wurde bis dato noch nicht explizit im Kontext Schienengüterverkehr (SGV) betrachtet. Hieran schließt dieser Beitrag an und gibt einen Überblick über die am Markt agierenden Start-ups im Bereich Schienengüterverkehr. Es wird auf der Basis einer systematischen Literaturanalyse eine Bestandsaufnahme der aktuell agierenden Start-ups vorgenommen und diese anhand ihrer Geschäftsmodelle und Technologien geclustert. Anhand einer abschließenden Fragebogenstudie werden weitere Details zu den Start-ups im Schienengüterverkehr aufgezeigt und diskutiert um eine erste Basis für weitere Untersuchungen des Start-up Geschehens auf diesen Verkehrsträger zu legen.
