Abstract

Zusammenfassung Ziel dieses Kapitels ist es, verschiedene Typen von Logistik-Software-Ökosystemen zu identifizieren und zu vergleichen. Ein Logistik-Software-Ökosystem ist ein Netzwerk aus verschiedenen Softwarelösungen und digitalen Plattformen, die miteinander interagieren, um logistische Prozesse zusammenzuführen und Kunden eine weitreichende Funktionalitäten zu offerieren. Dazu werden die Ökosysteme hinsichtlich der Ausgangsmerkmale der beteiligten Akteure sowie ihrer Entwicklung untersucht, um die daraus resultierenden charakteristischen Merkmale des Ökosystems zu erklären. Es wird gezeigt, dass die Funktionsvielfalt des Ökosystems mit der Diversität der kooperierenden Unternehmen zunimmt. Das Vorhandensein von fokalen Unternehmen und zentralisierten Entscheidungsstrukturen mit kommerziellen Zielen fördert und beschleunigt die Innovation, schränkt aber die Offenheit eines Ökosystems sowie die Mitbestimmungsrechte der Partner ein. Beides ist für Start-ups von zentraler Bedeutung. Die in diesem Beitrag identifizierten Beziehungen geben Ökosystembetreibern, Start-ups, Softwareanbietern und -nutzern in der Logistik Hinweise darauf, in welche Richtung sich zukünftige Logistiksoftware-Ökosysteme entwickeln könnten.
