Abstract

Zusammenfassung Nachhaltigkeit und Klimaschutz ist auch ein großes Thema an den Hochschulen. Die Energiewende und der Klimawandel sind eine der zentralen gesellschaftlichen Herausforderungen unserer Zeit. Der Hochschul- und Forschungsbereich spielt hierbei eine zentrale Rolle. Handlungsfelder der Nachhaltigkeit definieren, Maßnahmen ergreifen, Klimaveränderungen aufzeigen und deren Auswirkungen bewerten, Maßnahmen zur CO2-Reduktion und Vorsorge faktenbasiert erforschen – dies sind Aufgaben, mit denen Hochschulen einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Bekämpfung des Klimawandels und seiner Folgen leisten können. Dieses Fallbeispiel zeigt, wie die Hochschule Kehl ihrer Vorbildfunktion nachkommt und neben entsprechenden Lehr- und Forschungsinhalten als zukünftig klimaneutrale Hochschule selbst ein bewusst gestaltetes Umfeld bieten will.
