Abstract

Zusammenfassung Dass Hochschulen und außeruniversitäre Forschungseinrichtungen ihre Aufgaben im Innovationssystem erfüllen können, setzt zwingend eine entsprechende Potenzialbasis an Wissenschaftler:innen voraus. Doch genau hier sind zunehmend sich verschärfende Engpässe absehbar – sowohl quantitativ als auch qualitativ. Eine entsprechende Sensibilität scheint im Wissenschaftssystem in der Breite noch nicht angekommen zu sein. Erwartbare Auswirkungen auf die Erfüllung der Aufgaben des Wissenschaftssystems in Forschung und Lehre werden begrenzt intensiv diskutiert. Will man aber mit dieser Entwicklung verbundene Konsequenzen für die Innovationsdynamik in Deutschland vermeiden, müssen neue Wege in der Fachkräfteaktivierung mit Phantasie und Mut angegangen werden.
