Abstract

Zusammenfassung Projekte existieren nie isoliert, sondern immer in einem Kontext, der die Wechselwirkungen und Zusammenhänge mit der Umgebung und den Umständen des Projekts beschreibt. Dieses Kapitel beschreibt diesen Kontext, der zahlreiche Faktoren umfasst, die das Projekt beeinflussen und berücksichtigt werden müssen. Hierzu gehören z. B. die Strategie und Ziele der Organisation, organisatorische Strukturen, Abhängigkeiten zu anderen Projekten und Programmen, sowie rechtliche, politische, soziale, kulturelle und wirtschaftliche Rahmenbedingungen. Der Reifegrad der Organisation und die Instrumente und Regelwerke zum Projekt- und Multiprojektmanagement spielen hierbei ebenso eine Rolle wie die unterschiedlichen Machtkonstellationen in der Organisation. Auch die Unternehmenskultur und die Werte der Organisation haben Einfluss auf Projekte. Dem Leser wird ein tiefes Verständnis zu diesem Kontext vermittelt, um das Projektmanagement wirksam darauf auszurichten.
