Abstract

Zusammenfassung In seiner einfachsten Form ist ein „Benchmark“ ein Referenzpunkt. Er dient als Vergleichsmaßstab. In Unternehmen ist „Benchmarking“ ein Verfahren, um Ergebnisse, Arbeitsmethoden oder Prozesse imVerhältnis zur bestmöglichen Praxis zu bewerten. Es kann benutzt werden, um wichtige Verbesserungspotentiale aufzuzeigen. Hierfür müssen geeignete Daten herangezogen werden. Es sind dann Indikatoren der Energieeffizienz einzuführen, die es dem Betreiber ermöglichen, die Leistung der Anlage im Lauf der Zeit zu beurteilen oder mit anderen im gleichen Gegenstandsbereich zu vergleichen. Wichtig ist, dass die Kriterien, die bei der Datenerfassung verwendet wurden, rückverfolgbar sind und auf dem neuesten Stand gehalten werden. In der Norm DIN EN 16231 heißt es: „Zweck des Energieeffizienz-Benchmarkings ist es, durch den Vergleich der Leistung zwischen oder innerhalb von Einheiten die maßgeblichen Daten und Indikatoren zum Energieverbrauch sowohl in technischer als auch in verhaltensbestimmender sowie in quantitativer wie qualitativer Hinsicht festzulegen. Es kann intern (innerhalb einer Organisation) und / oder extern (zwischen Organisationen) erfolgen.
