Abstract

Zusammenfassung Dieses Kapitel untersucht die Führungsstrategien der Claranet GmbH anhand einer Fallstudie, die sich mit einem kritischen Ausfall ihrer Infrastructure-as-a-Service-Plattform und den daraus resultierenden Führungsherausforderungen auseinandersetzt. Der Vorfall verdeutlicht die Risiken cloudbasierter Dienste im Kontext eines volatilen, unsicheren, komplexen und ambigen (VUKA) Geschäftsumfelds. Besonders für kleine und mittelständische Unternehmen (KMU) sind diese Erfahrungen von hoher Relevanz, da sie ähnliche Herausforderungen in Krisenzeiten bewältigen müssen. Durch eine Analyse der Reaktionen von Claranet sowie der zugrunde liegenden Unternehmenskultur, gestützt auf Expert*inneninterviews und Führungsanalysen, werden wertvolle Einblicke in effektive Krisenführung für KMU gewonnen. Das Kapitel zeigt, wie verteilte Führung in turbulenten Zeiten, wie etwa der Covid-19-Pandemie, erfolgreich eingesetzt werden kann.
