Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die patientenzentrierte Versorgung hat sich zu einem zentralen Anliegen der modernen Gesundheitsversorgung entwickelt, da sie sowohl die Effizienz medizinischer Einrichtungen steigert als auch der individuellen Patientin und den individuellen Patienten mit ihren/seinen Bedürfnissen zur gesundheitlichen Versorgung und ihre/seine damit verbundene Patientenreise in den Fokus rückt, um die Qualität der Versorgung zu verbessern. Dieses Kapitel beleuchtet aus Patientensicht die Relevanz einer auf die Betroffenen ausgerichteten Behandlung, zeigt Potenziale und Herausforderungen auf und diskutiert die Auswirkungen mangelnder Digitalisierung im Gesundheitswesen auf die Patientenzentrierung. Durch eine Analyse des Status Quo aus Sicht onkologischer Patienten sowie der Rolle der Digitalisierung im Gesundheitswesen bietet der Beitrag Einblicke in die Erfahrungen und Bedürfnisse der Betroffenen hinsichtlich einer patientenorientierten Versorgung. Ein fiktives Fallbeispiel illustriert eine erfolgreiche patientenzentrierte Versorgungsreise in der Onkologie und unterstreicht die Bedeutung der Digitalisierung für deren Umsetzung.
