Abstract

So far, we have examined the classics of conflict and the attitude deficits in entrepreneurial families. One thing is clear: These stumbling blocks and obstacles need to be cleared away. But what if the attempt to clear the path itself becomes the problem? This happens in entrepreneurial families faster than one might think. These families not only tend to have problems. They also tend to react incorrectly. Especially the rationally acting and deciding entrepreneur is surprisingly helpless in family conflicts. His usual set of tools fails here, as do the proven problem solvers—the lawyers and tax consultants.
