Abstract

Zusammenfassung Embedded Finance bezeichnet die weitgehend nahtlose Integration von Finanzdienstleistungen in die Angebote, Front-Ends und Prozesse von Unternehmen außerhalb des Finanzdienstleistungssektors. Der Vertrieb und die Nutzung von Finanzdienstleistungen verschieben sich in diesem Zusammenhang aus der proprietären Bankumgebung in die Customer Journeys von dritten Unternehmen. Wesentliche Ausprägungen sind Embedded Payments, Lending, Insurance, Investment, Cards und Accounts sowie Embedded Banking im Sinne eines breiteren Angebots mehrerer Produkte. Für Nutzer bedeutet Embedded Finance einen vereinfachten Zugang zu Finanzprodukten, eine nutzerfreundliche und personalisierte Kundenerfahrung und einen höheren Grad an Kontextualisierung. Unternehmen haben die Möglichkeit, die Customer Journey ihrer Kunden zu optimieren, Medienbrüche und damit Kaufabbrüche zu verringern und die Nutzung und den Absatz der eigenen Produkte und Dienstleistungen zu fördern. Für Banken bieten sich einerseits Chancen durch erweiterte Vertriebswege und die Entwicklung neuer Geschäftsmodelle, andererseits besteht die Gefahr eines Verlustes der Relevanz und Visibilität an der Kundenschnittstelle.
