Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Digitalisierung verändert den Journalismus nicht nur in seinen Arbeitsweisen, sondern auch in seinen Produkten. Die Möglichkeiten medialen Storytellings haben sich ebenso vervielfacht wie seine Verbreitungskanäle. So geraten klassische Medienhäuser einerseits durch ihren gesellschaftlichen Auftrag, möglichst viele Menschen mit Informationen zu versorgen, unter Druck – und andererseits durch den Niedergang ihrer traditionellen, linearen Geschäftsmodelle. Nachrichten werden nicht mehr als abgeschlossenes (Print-)Produkt im Dauer-Abonnement konsumiert. Mediennutzung wird stattdessen zur hochindividualisierten User Experience mit bestenfalls volatiler Zahlungsbereitschaft. In dieser Phase des enormen Transformationsdrucks, in der Redaktionen bei wegbrechenden Umsätzen nicht nur das Bestandsgeschäft aufrechterhalten, sondern auch zusätzliche Inhalte produzieren müssen, bieten KI-Tools und Lösungen zur Automatisierung große Chancen, Ressourcen freisetzen und Innovationen zu befördern.
