Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Schweizer Spitallandschaft ist seit Covid in der Schieflage: Teuerungsschub, Zinswende, Fachkräftemangel, wuchernde Bürokratie und dadurch stark steigende Personalkosten sorgen bei zwei Dritteln der Häuser für ungenügende oder negative Jahresergebnisse. Spitäler, welche die Digitalisierung und Vernetzung proaktiv angegangen sind oder angehen, haben in dieser Situation die Nase vorn. Sie werden auch in der integrierten Gesundheitsversorgung vorne mitspielen. Die anstehenden technologischen Möglichkeiten bieten die Chance, sowohl eine effizientere als auch eine besser auf den Patientennutzen ausgerichtete Gesundheitsversorgung zu realisieren. Der Verwaltungsrat trägt zusammen mit der operativen Spitalleitung die Verantwortung dafür, dass das Handlungsfeld Innovation mit Zielsetzungen und konkreten Massnahmen zum integralen Bestandteil einer zukunftsgerichteten Spitalstrategie wird.
