Abstract

Zusammenfassung In den vergangenen Jahren wurde über das Thema geschlechtergerechte Sprache viel und emotional gestritten. Bei näherer Betrachtung betrifft die Kontroverse jedoch nur einen kleinen Teil des Genderns. Die meisten Möglichkeiten geschlechtergerechter Sprache sind weithin akzeptiert und werden oft nicht einmal als aktives Gendern erkannt. Unter gendern wird in diesem Buch verstanden, dass nicht nur Männer erwähnt werden, wenn nicht nur Männer gemeint sind. Grundsätzlich gibt es drei Möglichkeiten: Geschlechtsmarkierungen vermeiden, Beidnennung nutzen oder Genderzeichen einsetzen. Im Folgenden werden diese Möglichkeiten vorgestellt, ergänzt um Informationen zu barrierefreier Sprache, rechtliche Aspekte, Hinweise zu SEO und KI sowie praktische Tipps.
