Abstract

Zusammenfassung Vor dem Einstieg in die juristische und betriebliche Praxis zum Thema Transidentität und sogenanntes drittes Geschlecht schauen wir uns zunächst die Begrifflichkeiten an, um die es geht. Wir werden erklären, was Transidentität ist, welche Dimensionen Geschlechtlichkeit haben kann, was Intergeschlechtlichkeit ist und was nicht und was es mit nicht-binären Geschlechtsidentitäten auf sich hat. Diese Begrifflichkeiten finden sich im gesamten Buch wieder und bilden die Grundlage dessen, worüber wir hier sprechen. Es gibt eine Vielzahl verschiedener Begriffe rund um die Themen Transidentität, Intergeschlechtlichkeit und Nichtbinarität. Diese Vielfalt kann sehr verwirrend sein. Es gibt auch eine lebhafte Diskussion über die „Richtigkeit“ von Begriffen auf politischer, wissenschaftlicher und individueller Ebene, die hier grundsätzlich nicht berücksichtigt wird. Unser Ziel ist die Praxisorientierung. Zu sprachlichen Besonderheiten im Umgang mit Transidentität, Intergeschlechtlichkeit und dem sogenannten dritten Geschlecht gibt es Anregungen in Kap. 8 Geschlechtergerechte Sprache sowie weitere Informationen in Kap. 9 Glossar.
