Abstract

Zusammenfassung In ländlichen und suburbanen Regionen sowie deren Anbindung an die Städte dominiert der motorisierte Individualverkehr, da der Ausbau öffentlicher Verkehrsmittel schwer wirtschaftlich darstellbar ist und viel Zeit in Anspruch nimmt. Technologien im Bereich Automatisierung, Digitalisierung, batterieelektrische Speichertechnologien und perspektivisch Autonomie ermöglichen neue flexible bedarfsorientierte, kosteneffiziente und umweltfreundliche Regionaltransportsysteme wie On-Demand-Bus und -Zugsysteme und Lufttaxis. In einer qualitativen Studie wurden die neuen Regionaltransportsysteme gegenübergestellt und durch vordefinierte Metriken bewertet. Bei dieser Analyse zeigt sich das Verhalten der einzelnen Systeme auf unterschiedlichen Missionsdistanzen. Die verschiedenen Transportsysteme haben jeweils Stärken und Schwächen und können ihr volles Potenzial am besten im intermodalen Verbund mit den bestehenden Verkehrsträgern ausspielen. Durch den Einsatz eines Verbundes neuer Regionaltransportsysteme kann dem motorisierten Individualverkehr eine konkurrenzfähige Alternative gegenübergestellt werden.
