Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Buchbeitrag „Quality Economy“ betrachtet Stromnetze als essenzielle Infrastruktur für die Energiewende und die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung in Europa und Deutschland, wo 2023 ein Meilenstein erreicht wurde: Erstmals stammte über die Hälfte der nationalen Stromerzeugung aus Erneuerbaren Quellen. Der Bedarf am Netzausbau ist offensichtlich, da die räumliche Verteilung Erneuerbarer Erzeugung und die Elektrifizierung überall im Land zunimmt. Übertragungsnetzbetreiber (ÜNB) investieren daher massiv in die Erweiterung des Netzes, was Fragen nach Bezahlbarkeit, Wettbewerbsfähigkeit und Akzeptanz aufwirft. Trotz dieser Herausforderungen ist die Einhaltung der gesetzlich verankerten Ziele der Energiewende unumgänglich. Stromnetze dienen nicht nur der mengenmäßigen Stromübertragung, sondern ermöglichen auch qualitative Vorteile wie saubere Luft, Teilhabe und nachhaltige urbane Lebensräume. Die Autoren plädieren für eine schnelle, kosteneffiziente Transformation des Energieversorgungssystems, wobei der Netzausbau als Schlüssel für wirtschaftliche, soziale und ökologische Fortschritte gesehen wird.
