Abstract

Zusammenfassung Arbeiten bei kleinen bis mittelgroßen Reiseveranstaltern ist in der Tourismusbranche besonders attraktiv, da hier weniger Arbeitsteilung herrscht, was Mitarbeitenden einen größeren Überblick und tiefergehende Einbindung in touristische Prozesse ermöglicht. Speziell im Bereich der Spezialreisen, wie Erlebnis-, Studien-, Wander- und Aktivreisen, kommt man dem Kern des Reisens näher als bei großen Konzernen, in denen oft nur Detailbereiche betreut werden. Das Aufgabenspektrum bei kleinen und mittelgroßen Reiseveranstaltern ist so vielfältig wie die große Bandbreite derer Angebote und Spezialisierungen. Dabei spielt zunächst noch keine Rolle, ob es sich bei dem Reiseprodukt um Gruppenreisen oder um maßgeschneiderte (oder Baustein-generierte) Individualreisen handelt. Dennoch lautet die Faustformel, dass es bei kleineren Firmen eher „generalistische“ Aufgaben sind als in großen Unternehmen und Konzernen.
