Abstract

Zusammenfassung Kepler, am 27. Dezember 1571 in Weil der Stadt geboren, ging nach der Schulzeit zum Studium an der Universität Tübingen, lernte Mathematik und Astronomie bei seinem Lehrer Michael Mästlin. Dieser führte Kepler auch privat in das kopernikanische System ein, das Kepler begeistert übernahm. Kurz vor seinem Theologieexamen wurde Kepler eine Stelle an der Stiftsschule in Graz angeboten, die er annahm. Dort verfasste Kepler sein Erstlingswerk, das Mysterium cosmographicum, das mit Mästlins Hilfe von der Universität Tübingen gedruckt und veröffentlicht wurde. Diese Schrift schickte er an Galilei und Brahe, der ihn darauf nach Prag einlud und 1600 als Assistenten einstellte.
