Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Desinformation entwickelt sich weiter, von Hitler und Stalin, von Trump bis Brexit-Johnsonbis zur heutigen Nutzung von Social Media. Milliarden Menschen geben ihre Daten an Unternehmen wie Google und Meta weiter, die sie für politische Zwecke nutzen. Die Raffinesse der Desinformationsinstrumente hat zugenommen und KI wird als Verstärker eingesetzt. Forscher, Politiker und Unternehmen fordern Maßnahmen gegen Desinformation. KI-generierte, synthetischen Medien werden für gefälschte Profile und zur Überzeugung der Öffentlichkeit genutzt. Beispiele zeigen, wie KI-generierte Figuren Meinungen unterstützen und Personen angreifen können. Dies stellt eine ernsthafte Bedrohung für die Gesellschaft dar.
