Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Beitrag fokussiert das problematische Mediennutzungsverhalten von bis zu 4,3 von ca. 11 Mio. Heranwachsenden in Deutschland im Alter von 6 bis 18 Jahren. Dies erfolgt auf der Basis eines Literatursurveys und einer Sekundärdatenanalyse, die in Form einer qualitativen Inhaltsanalyse ausgewertet und nachfolgend trianguliert wurden. Im Sinne einer gesundheitswissenschaftlichen Ressourcenausrichtung empfiehlt der Beitrag zu einer an der Internationalen Klassifikation der Funktionsfähigkeit, Behinderung und Gesundheit (ICF) ausgerichteten Präventionsarbeit, die das dichotome Diagnostizieren und Therapieren nach Maßstäben der Internationalen Klassifikation von Krankheiten (ICD) in ihrer 10. und 11. Fassung durchbricht. ICF-adjustierte Primärprävention inkludiert über Interventionen bei ICD-relevant diagnosefähigem Mediensuchtverhalten auch diejenigen bei problematischer Mediennutzung im Kontext von dringend indizierten Public Health-Maßnahmen, da das Krankheitsbild nach derzeitigem Kenntnisstand neben der Haupt- mit einer Vielzahl von entwicklungsrelevanten Krankheiten assoziiert werden kann.
