Abstract

Zusammenfassung Vor der Beschäftigung mit unternehmerischen Denkfabriken ist es sinnvoll, etwas über deren ursprüngliche Bedeutung zu erfahren. Dies erleichtert das Verständnis der spezifischen Denkhaltungen, die den unterschiedlichen Think Tanks zugrunde liegen. Als Think Tanks wurden lange Zeit in erster Linie Institute der Politikberatung bezeichnet. In diesen Denkfabriken werden die großen politischen und gesellschaftlichen Herausforderungen wie z. B. der Klimawandel, die Energiewende oder die demografische Entwicklung bearbeitet. Die Ergebnisse dieser Think Tanks sind häufig Analyseberichte, Prognosen und Szenarien. Sie dienen u. a. der Entscheidungsfindung von Politikern und werden mitunter zur gezielten Einflussnahme eingesetzt (klassischer Lobbyismus).
