Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Umsetzung der Digitalisierung im kanadischen Gesundheitssystem variiert aufgrund der föderalen Struktur des Landes. Dennoch bietet die Digitalisierung erhebliche Vorteile und hat bereits heute die Art und Weise, wie die kanadische Bevölkerung mit Gesundheitsleistungen versorgt wird, beeinflusst. Ein wesentlicher Aspekt dieser Transformation ist die strategische Herangehensweise, ein weiterer die Etablierung der Canada Health Infoway, einer Non-Profit Organisation, die seit dem Jahr 2000 die Digitalisierungsaktivitäten im kanadischen Gesundheitssystem etabliert und gemeinsam mit den Provinzen vorantreibt.
