Abstract

Zusammenfassung Von den Rechnungsprüfungen durch den Medizinischen Dienst (MD) geht ein hohes finanzielles Risiko für die Krankenhäuser aus, die Vorbereitung und Durchführung der Prüfungen sind zeit-, arbeits- und bislang auch sehr papierintensiv. Durch die zunehmende Digitalisierung der Krankenhäuser sowie des MD und unter Zuhilfenahme digitaler Tools lassen sich viele Prozesse rund um das MD-Management einer Wandlung unterziehen. Ein zielgerichtetes und ressourcensparendes Health Data Management stellt dabei einen Schlüsselfaktor für die digitale Transformation des Medizincontrollings dar, in deren Folge personelle Ressourcen gespart und gleichzeitig ein verbessertes Controlling zugelassen werden. Der Beitrag wirft ein Schlaglicht auf relevante Prozesse rund um die MD-Bearbeitung und zeigt dabei die Chancen ebenso wie die Herausforderungen im Zusammenhang mit der Digitalisierung auf.
