Abstract

Zusammenfassung Dieses Kapitel knüpft an vorige Artikel – „Das Datenintegrationszentrum – Ausgangspunkt für die datengetriebene medizinische Forschung und Versorgung“ und „Datenintegrationszentrum – Drehscheibe für Daten in der medizinischen Forschung und Versorgung“ – an. In der Krankenversorgung und biomedizinischen Forschung fallen große Datenmengen an. Diese sollen und müssen für zukünftige Versorgung und Forschung nutzbar sein. Das ist die Kernaufgabe der Datenintegrationszentren der Medizininformatik-Initiative. In diesem Kapitel wird der grundlegende Aufbau, die Aufgaben und der aktuelle Stand der Datenintegrationszentren an den deutschen Universitätsklinika und mit welchen Diensten sie die medizinische Forschung unterstützen beschrieben.
