Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Prozesse in deutschen Krankenhäusern werden durch die zunehmenden Dokumentationspflichten und die Dopplung der eingegebenen Daten erheblich belastet. Die Ursachen dafür liegen sowohl innerhalb der Klinik im Vertrauen der Nutzer in die bereits vorhandenen Informationen und zum anderen in den Kontrollerwägungen externer Stellen, bis hin zur persönlichen Haftung. Im vorliegenden Kapitel werden die Ursachen der Überdokumentation zunächst näher beleuchtet. Es werden anhand konkreter Praxisbeispiele potenzielle Wege für organisatorische und technische Lösungen aufgezeigt, diesem Dilemma zu entgehen. Dabei werden verschiedene Facetten des Vertrauens und Schutzaspekte von Daten und Handlungen erläutert. In der abschließenden Diskussion wird auf das notwendige Vertrauen in die medizinischen Daten eingegangen, die Grundlage sind, um die bereits sichtbaren Lösungen des technischen Fortschritts bedienen zu können.
