Filling Key Positions

Abstract

Chapter 10 focuses on the filling of key positions. It includes the renewal of the supervisory and executive boards and thus partly means securing the succession. In a framework, the task is divided into six sub-tasks: (1) Define key positions and make plans to fill them. (2) Attract and develop young high-potential employees. (3) Fill management and expert positions. (4) Fill positions on the executive board. (5) Fill positions on the supervisory board. (6) Build up employer branding. The six sub-tasks are then described. The chapter concludes with a clarification of the responsibilities of the supervisory and executive boards.
