Abstract

Zusammenfassung Als Unternehmer ist der Blick für die Zukunft der Branche auch immer der Blick auf Mitarbeiter sowie auf die Aus- und Weiterbildung. Die Branche immersiver Medien und Technologien ist noch sehr jung und birgt sehr individuelle Werdegänge. Die Entwicklung des neuen Ausbildungsberufs ”Gestalter*in für immersive Medien“ ist hierbei ein wichtiger Schritt in Deutschland. Jens Epe ist technischer Geschäftsführer und Mitgründer der World of VR GmbH und ist VR-Enthusiast der ersten Stunde. Seit 13 Jahren beschäftigt er sich bereits mit der Konzeption und Entwicklung von virtuellen und erweiterten Realitäten, sowohl in seinem Studium der Computervisualistik, in der Forschung am Fraunhofer Institut oder nun in seinem 2015 gegründeten Startup World of VR. Klarer Schwerpunkt lag dabei immer auf dem Einsatz in Unternehmen, insbesondere für virtuelle Weiterbildungs- und Kollaborationsformate. Neben der täglichen Arbeit als Creative Technology Officer bei World of VR engagiert er sich ehrenamtlich im Ersten Deutschen Fachverband für Virtual Reality (EDFVR e. V.) für die Vernetzung der XR-Szene. In diesem Rahmen konnte er auch an der Entwicklung des neuen Ausbildungsberufs zum „Gestalter/-in für immersive Medien“ mitwirken. https://worldofvr.de/
