Abstract

Zusammenfassung Chatbots wirken wie eine neue, futuristische Erscheinung. Dabei setzte die U.S. Army bereits im Jahr 2006 einen Sprachroboter mit dem Namen „Sergeant Star“ ein, der Fragen von Bewerbern automatisch beantworten konnte. Die Idee dahinter war, Prozesse im Recruiting zu automatisieren und immer wiederkehrende Fragen automatisiert durch einen virtuellen Unterstützer zu beantworten. Mittlerweile interagiert der Chatbot der U.S. Army täglich mit rund 1500 Bewerbern und hat bisher Millionen von Unterhaltungen geführt (vgl. Dudler 2020, S. 101).
