Abstract

Zusammenfassung Während noch vor nicht allzu langer Zeit die Arbeitsplatzgestaltung unter Experten des Gebäude- und Facility Managements diskutiert wurde, liegen diese Projekte heute meist in der Verantwortung der Personalabteilung und Organisationsentwicklung. Der Grund hierfür liegt in der Erkenntnis, dass die Arbeitsplatzgestaltung ein wesentliches Gestaltungselement im New Work ist (vgl. Allmers, S. et al. Denn Räume haben die Kraft, das zu fördern oder auch zu verhindern, was wir für die Zukunftsfähigkeit von Unternehmen so dringend brauchen: Agilität und Innovation genauso wie Resilienz und eine sinnvolle Verbindung von Privat- und Berufsleben. Ein Konzept, was diese Erfolgsfaktoren in besonderem Maße fördert, ist das Activity Based Working (ABW). Es beinhaltet verschiedene Aspekte, die in Verbindung mit einer passenden Organisation und Führung zum Motor für die Zukunftsfähigkeit eines Unternehmens werden kann.
