Abstract

Zusammenfassung Beginnen Prozessmanager:innen mit der Überarbeitung von Prozessen, ist der Impuls verständlich, sich direkt mit seinen bekannten Schwachstellen auseinanderzusetzen und die Teile, die gut laufen, nicht weiter zu betrachten. Es lohnt sich jedoch, zunächst Zeit in eine Strategie für die Prozessoptimierung zu investieren. So können vermeidbare Fallstricke frühzeitig erkannt und Prozesse nicht nur punktuell, sondern in all ihren Aspekten hinterfragt werden. Auch empfiehlt es sich, vor der aktiven Prozessarbeit ein grundlegendes Verständnis davon aufzubauen, wie sich Prozesse bei der Übertragung vom Analogen ins Digitale verändern und die Vorteile der Digitalisierung dabei ausgeschöpft werden können. Derartige Grundlagen für die Prozessoptimierung sind Gegenstand dieses vierten Kapitels.
