Abstract

Zusammenfassung Zum Erreichen einer lebenswerten Zukunft müssen wir die Wissenschaft nutzen. Das hat zwei Aspekte: die Ergebnisse der Wissenschaft nutzbar zu machen und die Nutzung dieser Ergebnisse in der Gesellschaft zu fördern. Die Nutzbarkeit betrifft alle Stufen des Forschungsprozesses und der Wissensgenerierung. Ein Transfer in die Gesellschaft benötigt anwendbare und vertrauenswürdige Ergebnisse und eine gute Kommunikation nicht nur über die Ergebnisse selbst, sondern auch über die Verfügbarkeit, Qualität und Brauchbarkeit des von Forschung und Wissenschaft erzeugten Wissens. Die Gesellschaft und die Wirtschaft müssen die Ergebnisse auch aufnehmen und bereit sein, sie zu nutzen.
