Abstract

Zusammenfassung Dieses Kapitel durchleuchtet die verschiedenen Phasen des Lebenszyklus der kanarischen Inseln als Tourismusdestination und analysiert die Ursachen der Krisen, die in jedem Zyklus der kanarischen Tourismusgeschichte aufgetreten sind, um mögliche Parallelen zur Gegenwart zu visualisieren und die Tourismuskrise des Coronavirus in diesem Kontext einzuordnen. Ebenso wird angestrebt, neue aufgetretene Probleme sowie andere latente Situationen, die sich im Laufe der Zeit gebildet und sich während der Pandemie teilweise verstärkt haben, zu identifizieren.
