Abstract

Zusammenfassung Über das Metaverse wird momentan viel diskutiert. Hierbei stellt sich die Frage, ob das Metaverse nur ein Hype ist (wie einst Second Life) oder tatsächlich ein Game Changer, der die Welt einmal ähnlich umfassend verändern wird wie das Internet. In diesem Beitrag werden der Status quo und die Treiber des Metaverse analysiert. Zusätzlich wird ein definitorischer Rahmen für das Metaverse entwickelt. Außerdem werden die Ingredienzen präsentiert, die für ein Aktivwerden im Metaverse relevant sind. Schließlich wird aufgezeigt, in welcher Weise Unternehmen heute mit der Herausforderung Metaverse umgehen sollten.
