Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Partnerwahl und die Bedeutung, die Frauen ihrer Mutterschaft geben, sind nicht nur Karrierekiller oder Karriereförderer, sondern stehen auch unmittelbar in Zusammenhang mit der Entwicklung ihres Selbstwertes und wie Frauen sich dadurch in Rollenzuschreibungen verstricken und darin hängen bleiben. Dahinter verbergen sich tief sitzende Gefühle von Schuld, Angst und Scham, die die Frauen regelrecht reglementieren: Die ihnen zugedachte Rolle muss erfüllt werden, von der angepassten Partnerin bis zur Übermutter. Jede Abweichung von der Rolle könnte nach ihrer Auffassung eine negative Konsequenz nach sich ziehen.
