Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Unternehmensbewertung im deutschsprachigen Raum ist seit jeher ein umstrittenes Feld, auf dem akademische Schulen miteinander konkurrieren. Während die subjektive Werttheorie sich heute in der investitionstheoretischen Schule wiederfindet, entwickelte sich die objektive Werttheorie zu einer primär auf kapitalmarkttheoretischen Erkenntnissen basierenden Bewertungsschule, sodass neuerlich von einem Objektivismusstreit gesprochen wird. Der vorliegende Beitrag wendet die ökonomische Analyse von Glaubensgemeinschaften auf die beiden Bewertungsschulen im deutschen Sprachraum an und diskutiert, wie Präferenzen der jeweiligen Wissenschaftler sowie Nutzen und Kosten durch den Beitritt in eine Schule, die tatsächliche Verteilung der Bewertungsforscher auf die jeweiligen akademischen Schulen erklären können.
