Abstract

Zusammenfassung In diesem Kapitel geht es um drei konkrete Beispiele für biotechnologische Innovationen, denen besonders große Praxisrelevanz für die Bauwirtschaft zukommen dürfte. Letztlich kreisen sie alle um die Idee, Holz und agrarische Rohstoffe in sehr kleine Bestandteile zu zerlegen (sei es in Nanopartikelgrößen oder darunter), sie thermisch, mechanisch oder chemisch zu verändern und so neue Baustoffeigenschaften zu kreieren. Schließlich wird der Blick von technologischen auf sozioökönomische Value-Chain-Innovationen geweitet. Ihre Etablierung kann die Praxisdurchdringung nachhaltiger Innovationen ermöglichen.
