Abstract

Zusammenfassung In der Eignungsauswahl für die Polizei werden zunehmend Persönlichkeitstests angewandt. Insbesondere das Fünf-Faktoren-Persönlichkeitsmodell eignet sich, um Studiums- wie auch Ausbildungserfolg und in Teilen beruflichen Erfolg zu prognostizieren, es hat jedoch auch seine Grenzen in Bezug zur Feststellung der charakterlichen Eignung von Polizist*innen. Anhand einer Bewerber*innenstichprobe im Vergleich zur Allgemeinbevölkerung werden fünf Persönlichkeitseigenschaften und ihre Facetten beschrieben sowie ihre Bedeutung für die polizeiliche Eignungsauswahl reflektiert. Abschließend werden zukünftige Anwendungsmöglichkeiten und Entwicklungspotentiale für Persönlichkeitstests im Rahmen der polizeilichen Eignungsauswahl sowie der polizeilichen Personalentwicklung abgeleitet.
