Abstract

As shown in Chap. 1 , the organizational-technical change, change in values, and rapid developments in the field of artificial intelligence are changing the diverse tasks of people in the boundaryless organization. Historically evolved organizational structures are changing with unprecedented radicality and speed as a result of digital technologies. Traditional structures of the world of work, including working hours, work locations, qualifications and vocational training, competencies, and hierarchies are being called into question and must be further developed in an appropriate form. In the future, the supporting activities made possible by artificial intelligence will subdivide the tasks of managers to a greater extent and bring leadership to the fore. This change must be reflected in competencies and thus also in personnel development.
