Abstract

Zusammenfassung Wenn Sie der Meinung sind, Ethik müsse wehtun und Ihnen den wirtschaftlichen Erfolg verderben, dann sollten Sie das Buch nun beiseitelegen. Wenn Sie neugierig sind, ob Ethik ein Erfolgsfaktor für Sie persönlich, für Ihren Betrieb und Ihr Unternehmen sein kann, dann sollten Sie weiterlesen. Dazu eine Vorbemerkung: Im Sinne mancher Ethiker*innen, allen voran Immanuel Kant, ist die Frage, ob Ethik zum Erfolg werden kann, schon falsch gestellt, ja, der Erfolg darf kein Kriterium für moralisches Handeln sein. Dieser inneren Haltung ist zuzustimmen, gleichwohl ist es im wirtschaftlichen Kontext ebenso legitim, die Frage nach dem sekundären Nutzen moralischen Handelns zu stellen. In diesem Sinne ist der folgende Abschnitt zu verstehen.
