Abstract

By linking RPA with other digitization technologies, robots are becoming increasingly more intelligent. This type of process automation is also referred to as Intelligent Process Automation, IPA for short. This chapter introduces the basics of IPA, then discusses the various technologies used (e.g. NLP, machine learning, or OCR) and shows examples of applications in the financial sector.
