Abstract

Zusammenfassung Deutschland liegt nach dem für das Jahr 2021 von der europäischen Kommission erhobenen Index für die digitale Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft (DESI) nach wie vor nur im europäischen Mittelfeld und nur leicht über dem Europäischen Durchschnitt. Nach wie vor gibt es ein deutsches Stadt-Land-Digitalgefälle. Das ist insbesondere dahingehend tragisch, als dass digitale Technologien und Lösungen gleichwertige Lebensverhältnisse im ländlichen Raum unterstützen können. Vielleicht ermöglichen sie sogar die Entwicklung peripherer Regionen zu einem neuen Chancenraum und einen ländlichen Zuzug. Das Projekt „Digitales Dorf Bayern“ setzt genau hier an und versucht in ausgewählten realen Dörfern gemeinsam mit Bürgern für Bürger eine digital unterstützte bessere Zukunft zu konzeptionieren und realisieren. Im Rahmen dieses Sammelbands werden zahlreiche Umsetzungsbeispiele dargestellt und wertvolle Hinweise zur Nachahmung gegeben.
