Abstract

Zusammenfassung 1940 sorgte Keynes mit seiner Schrift „How to pay for the war“ für Furore, in der er von der Wende „Vom Zeitalter des Überflusses“ zum „Zeitalter der Knappheit“ sprach. Sein damaliges Fazit könnte heute nicht besser passen. Unsere Entscheidungen – ökonomisch, sozial – wirken sich aus auf andere. Das gilt für Menschen genauso wie für unsere Lebensgrundlagen, Natur und Klima. Sobald wir das vergessen, sind allein egoistische Motive die Treiber unseres Handelns. Vielerorts ist die Dringlichkeit für eine Transformation in eine emissionsarme Wirtschaft angekommen. Doch noch immer hinken wir hinterher. Woran liegt es?
