Abstract

Zusammenfassung Unser Routinehandeln im Alltag folgt bewährten Mustern des Denkens, Fühlens und Beurteilens. Diese Muster sind tiefenverwurzelt; in ihnen wird die Wertgebundenheit unserer Person sichtbar. Diese Werte können reflektiert werden, und wir können prüfen, welchem Moralniveau wir in unserem Spontanhandeln Ausdruck verleihen. Wir können uns von diesen Spontanwerten distanzieren und uns um eine innere Befreiung vom Opportunismus bemühen, indem wir uns z. B. mit den Biographien großer Persönlichkeiten in Verbindung bringen, ein inneres Modell unseres idealen Selbst imaginieren, das wir täglich durchspüren und so zu einer mentalen Größe in uns werden lassen – und: Wir können uns darin üben, unser Handeln ethisch zu reflektieren und es zu korrigieren.
